Why Must This Story Be Read? Because it's simply adorable and it contains a pairing that NO ONE expected. A little hint: short, but sweet fic about characters that tend to be overlooked in the SO2 fandom.

Fandom: Star Trek XI, '09 movie
Pairing: Kirk/Spock (includes mentions of Spock/Uhura, Kirk!prime/Spock!prime, and pre-slash Kirk/Spock)
Title: Breaking Points
Author: Ragdoll
Warnings (if applicable): none really. reboot!Kirk has a dirty mouth.
Author on LJ: I don't know if she has an LJ
Author Website: http://www.ksarchive.com/viewuser.php?uid=336

Why Must This Story Be Read?
In the KS fandom, so many fics just sort of dismiss Uhura's relationship with Spock so he can get to the lovin' with Kirk. Breaking Points does a remarkable job of staying consistent with the Reboot universe and playing out the very real ramifications of what would happen if Elder Spock decided to "set things right" between captain and first officer. All of the characters are realistic and true to what we've seen in the movie. The romance scenes are hot as hell, the drama is knuckle-bitingly tense, and the dialogue is smooth as silk. This is one of the most believable and realistic portrayals of how the new Kirk and Spock could end up together. You'll never forget this once you've read it.

Author: Risa
Pairing: Heero/Duo
Fandom: Gundam Wing
Theme: #1 -- look over here
Disclaimer: The moth that just flew out of my wallet should say everything.

Instead of freezing your butt off like some kind of idiot, why not hop in? We could head up to base and get some hot chocolate. Sound good?

Naruto, cord of life by [info]iluxia

  • Nov. 7th, 2009 at 8:03 PM

Fandom: Naruto

Characters: Sasuke/Naruto

Title: cord of life

Rating: R

Genre: Drama

Author:[info]iluxia

Warnings (if applicable): violence and a little gore, some sexual implications

Summary: When Sasuke finally offers to return to Konoha, Naruto turns him away. Picks up post-Itachi/Sasuke battle.

Why Must This Story Be Read?

This story takes what canon has introduced and weaves a well-crafted bittersweet, angsty, angsty tale of what happens in the aftermath of Sasuke’s actions, when he finds that he wants to go home and the one person he thought would welcome him back doesn’t, and when he realizes that what he wants he can never have again.

Sasuke is fantastically characterized in this story; he’s lost, aimless, and dealing with his unfurling emotions, desperately grasping at moments to fill the emptiness inside him and the void in his life.

Why Must This Story Be Read? Quite Simply, it's VERY well written, and she presents Nero the Sable perfectly. This is especially true in chapter 2. She does all the characters well, but her Nero really stands out. Not that I'm biased or anything. *cough*
